ELENA PAK FINE ART

"My interest in art started back in high school. I first made pencil portraits of my classmates, and later on, of my children. I never thought of seriously painting until my husband bought me oil paints as a birthday gift. Since then, I have started to paint and enjoy it very much. I am self-taught and my inspiration comes from classic Russian painters like Issac Levitan, Nikolai Rerikh, Konstantin Makovsky, and Karl Bryullov, and contemporary artists Bill Alexander, Igor Saharov, and Vladimir Volegov. My favorite styles are impressionism and realism. My main media is oil. Capturing people’s emotions when painting portraits and beauty when painting landscapes is something I love.”

Claire Gowdy Art

“I am a short lady who likes to paint on large canvases. I use mostly acrylics with touches of pastel, spray paint, charcoal and/or texture. I use all the tools: brushes, palette knives, scrapers, and frequently my fingers.

I am a lifelong native of South Louisiana. My art is heavily influenced by the diversity of the marshy landscapes and river industry so prevalent here. My abstracts evolve from a deep imagination and exploration of color, form, and medium, often mixing all three until the image is pleasing and balanced. I constantly explore with new color palettes from bright to soft, bold to light.

I hope you will find a sense of joy, peace and whimsy as a collector or simply as a viewer of my work.

Art is therapy to me on so many levels. I approach my canvases like a I approach life. The journey should be an adventurous one.”

Allison Dillard Art

“A painting starts with a vision and a passion to create an idea that speaks to the client.  Layers and textures are used to bring to life the emotions of an idea.  Nature and color help inspire the image of an abstract which speaks uniquely to each viewer. Allison hopes to use her art to speak blessings onto all that see it. She has a strong desire to utilize her gift of painting to glorify God. Her love for God is evident in her subject matter and each painting has a scripture written on the back upon completion. Allison’s love of art comes from her grandmother, who enjoyed painting with watercolors.  Her grandmother gifted her several pieces that have sentimental meaning, knowing all the love and thought that went into each one.  After losing her father in an accident and becoming a new mother all at the age of 25, the art pieces carry a special meaning. Art became a conscience creative outlet that helps Allison release stress and emotions. Allison often paints while listening to Christian music and uses a reflective visual prayer process for each unique piece.  As you may have seen on this site or on her social media, Allison's two dachshunds, Fritz and Febe, are always keeping her company while she paints. In fact, Fritz has a creative side and has helped add extra texture to a few pieces by walking on paint and then tracking it onto the canvas! If you would like to see her art up close in person, it can be found in different retail places around the Baton Rouge and Gonzales Area like: LD Linens, Mosaic Gardens, Paper White, The Royal Standard (Highland Location), Holy Rosary Sacred Arts, and Mid City Mercantile.”

Lamont Coleman

“Lamont Coleman is an artist from Mobile, Alabama. He started creating art at just five years old. No one taught him how to draw or paint, it just came naturaly to him. He begin drawing because he was surrounded by so much trauma and disfunction. From abuse, neglect, dealing with dyslexia, and a host of other things, art has always been a place of escape from all the chaos. Art helped him overcome many things to become who he is today. So in his work you will see things that deal with mental health, love, and self reflection because those are topics he wants to bring more awareness to. Another aspect you'll notice on his work is the connection to nature. Because within nature you can find your inner peace. Every piece of art is literaly built by him with someone on mind. One of his dreams si to open a community center to teach young people how to use art as an outlet. Showing them that circumstances don't define you, only your future will determine who you wil be.”
